ATC '08 Something we can't miss - ZhengLiang
Mr Sham Presenting Aldrich Butt =XX Sec 3 Pic at the Jetty During ATC Sec 2 Pic at the jetty During ATC Hi. Every cadet in NPCC during their secondary 2 and 3 life. The camp is called Adventure Training Camp [ ATC ]. This camp is held at Pulau Ubin, NPCC Resilience Camp Site. This camp allow us to mix around with the other school of the same area like, tampines sec, pasir ris, junyuan, Changkat, etc. Learn about their units and prehaps able to bring back to our own unit and improve them. Last time my seniors always tell us ATC was a torture camp. but it was wrong. From the camp itself i learn that Basic survival skills are needed to be able to adapt to the campsite. Just for a camp it taught me many important Values. Learning how to tolerate one and another, not to be anti-social and talk to the people in the same tent and try to help out one and another if they need help. There are High ropes activity that allow people to be brave and conquer the fear in them. There is also fire making, where my group had been troubled. The base Foundation is important to make a fire Last long. Impatience will lead to a fire that will not last. CampFire is the most enjoyable event of all. everyone in the unit was like waiting for the CI so we could shout the name " Sir Zaki", not long all started shouting. Sir Zaki did the dance.. and it was funny.. after the campfire. there was a unit debrief session.. Sir boon hui, jeremy, rayyan, Zaki. Mdm brenda and Mr sham was there.. we had a long and funny debrief session.. sir zaki gave us drinks like last year. He gave us Ice Lemon Tea and 100Plus to enjoy. The final day was the cleaning up.. many people were reluctant to do it as it was the last day.. everyone cherish their own time to be together as group and enjoy the moments. after the cleaning up, there was picture taking. after that we shouted happy Fathers day to mr sham and he smiled happily.. haha.. then headed our way back to Singapore. haha. NPCC's annual parade - Don
Ok... what i feel about the parade... it was kindda weird, meeting other cadets from other school, not knowing any of them. But it was a disappointment when i didnt see my friend go to the parade's training. Anyway, i didnt really made anynew friends, just recognize some of them.
What i did in the training was well... training? But we managed to get to handle a M16~ it was kindda cool.... but we were'nt allowed to hold it up in a 'shooting' position... some safety precautions or whatever... But it kindda made sense... imagine someone pointing a gun straight at your face o.o... kay.. Back to the trainings, learnt a few new 'tricks' but only remember vaugely how to execute it. The training was tiring, as it was quite... demanding...
Wearing the half-uniform meant that we could'nt just sit anywhere we wanted to, which meant we were allocated certain seats. I was surprised that we the main 'event' o.o... anyways after the real parade, we then found out that that day was one of the instructor's b'day o.o ... thn we wishied him happy b'day, followed by a birthday 'bash'... no one was hurt or punched tho... followed by that we went to change back to our 'accecptable' clothing.I roughly remembered that once when we changed, the toilet was fogged up, probably due to our bodies' temperature... amazed that a few boys getting toghether was able to cause a sauna effect o.o...
